Wat Thepthidaram is located in Phra Nakorn district of Bangkok, along with many historical buildings and monuments. The temple front gate is on Thanon Maha Chai road, which intersect with Rachadamnoen Road near Pom Mahakan (Mahakan Fort). Maha Chai Road was built behind the city wall. Due to urbanization of the Rattanakosin Island, most of the old city wall was torn down. The remaining wall can be seen, along this road from Pom Mahakan.
